For Individuals

If you would like to volunteer but don’t know where to start then you can arrange to meet one of our development workers who will explore what options are available to you.
This happens in a very relaxed manner and is a chance to look at the various volunteering opportunities available.

If you would like to arrange an appointment please call 01294 443044 or email info@tact.scot

Introduction to volunteering:

This fun 3 hour session is aimed at individuals who would like to gain a better understanding of what exactly is involved in volunteering.

This includes looking at the development of volunteering agencies within North Ayrshire, exploring the aims and objectives of voluntary sector organisations, how they are funded, staffed and managed and why they involve volunteers in the first place.
This session will explore all the different types of volunteering roles and will help you decide which volunteering opportunity is right for you.

We aim to match your expectations to the volunteering experience, explore any barriers to volunteering and help alleviate any fears you may have about getting involved.

Confidentiality:

This 3 hour session is aimed at those people who would like to volunteer in a befriending, caring and/or mentoring type role with vulnerable client groups. It looks at confidentiality, information sharing and breaches of confidentiality.
It explores organisations confidentiality policy and what this means to volunteers as well as looking at child protection, working with vulnerable adults and the Disclosure process.
