3TFM Board Vacancies

The Chairperson and Board of Directors of 3TFM would like to invite members of the public who would be interested to apply for vacancies on the 3TFM Community Radio for Health Board of Directors.

3TFM is the only Health/Community Regeneration promoting radio station in the U.K. It delivers a dedicated service to residents in the Three Towns area of North Ayrshire and is run entirely by volunteers. Following the recent departures of 3 long serving and much appreciated Board Members, 3TFM are really keen to develop and enhance their services. Through the recruitment of new board members with a variety of skills to share with the station, this will help them achieve these aims. The possibilities are endless. So, if you have experience in business, finance, marketing, the voluntary sector or local authority then we’d love to hear from you!

Please note that this role is subject to a Protection of Vulnerable Groups Enhanced Disclosure.

Please contact Louis Ferguson at 3TFM on 01294 602612/07788511789 to find out more.

North Ayrshire Citizens Advice Service

North Ayrshire Citizens Advice Service (NACAS) have secured great premises in Boyd Street, Largs. It features a large garden area which at this time is heavily over grown but NACAS have managed to secure some great volunteers with help from The Ayrshire Community Trust (TACT). This group of volunteers are looking at ways of cleaning the garden up and hopefully later in the year there could be potentially a community garden at NACAS Largs. At this time the volunteers are looking for donations of any garden equipment that you are not currently using, this would really help the project get started. If you have equipment you can donate please contact Sarah Hammond on 01294 467848.

IN KIND DIRECT

Has your charity’s budget been cut?  Looking for ways to cut costs?

Then join In Kind Direct’s charity network! Over 650 Scottish organsations have already received £6.5 million in value of products from In Kind Direct. We support charities like yours to save money on the essential products needed to run their organisations and help beneficiaries.

It could be toys for running a nursery, toiletries for residents of a women’s refuge or laptops for a charity’s head office.  All these products and more are sourced by In Kind Direct from manufacturers and retailers. They are new products that are often end of lines, in damaged packaging, samples or customer returns.

Products are made available to charities via an online catalogue.  All charities pay when ordering goods is a handling charge for our service, which generally equates to around 20% of the retail price and includes delivery to charities’ doors. This contributes to In Kind Direct’s costs, enabling us to source more goods and help even more charities.

To order products from In Kind Direct, charities must first register online to join the In Kind Direct charity network. To register for free, visit www.inkinddirect.org

As a registered charity itself, In Kind Direct understands the importance of making budgets stretch further and we aim to help organisations achieve that goal. With this in mind, we’ve teamed up with Ryman the stationer so that all charities that register with In Kind Direct will receive a Ryman discount card and save up to 20% every time you shop in Ryman stores!
